Authorities in Las Vegas are searching for a suspect who left three sticks of dynamite in the middle of a city street on Monday night. The Rescue and Bomb Squad and an armored unit were called after a security guard witnessed someone place a "suspicious looking" bag on the sidewalk. Once officers realized the bag contained explosives, they ordered residents to evacuate the area.
Investigators say the dynamite wasn't rigged to explode and there was no real threat of explosion.
The explosives were were taken to Nellis Air Force Base to be detonated.
