Though you sat down with your family for Thanksgiving yesterday to enjoy a finely arranged plate of succulent turkey, bright red cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes white like cocaine, and velvety gravy, there were some in America sitting down to struggle plates. Mangled slices of meat. Indistinct piles of slop. Hot dogs, for god's sake.

To spread the word, hundreds took to Twitter armed with the hashtag #struggleplate. Vigilant food critics applied it where they saw fit. We followed suit, tracking down the nastiest plates of "food" served for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday.
