A Texas man donated a pair of shoes to Goodwill, completely unaware of what the shoes contained—his family's entire life savings. Richard Lopez, manager for the Goodwill store in Webster, TX, says an employee was organizing recently-donated clothes and noticed something inside of the shoe. It was a stack of $100 bills, amounting to $3,300.
The employee informed Lopez, who hid the money for seven days waiting for someone to claim it. Eventually, a woman from Galveston did just that. As it turns out, the incredibly grateful woman had stashed the money in the shoes without her husband's knowledge.
