Blizzard revealed some tasty details about upcoming expansions for StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 in an Activision earnings call today.

First off, the StarCraft 2 expansion "Heart of the Swarm" could be released as early as the first half of 2013, if development remains on track. The expansion will add multiplayer and social feature improvements, among other things.

Blizzard Entertainment President Mike Morhaime also revealed that an expansion for Diablo 3, which has reportedly sold 10 million copies since its May launch, is in the works as well. "I think the most important thing for us always comes down to the quality of the expansion and the gameplay, so that will be a big factor in terms of driving our schedule," he said.

There's no release window or other info for the Diablo 3 expansion yet. What do you think Diablo 3 needs in an expansion? Are you looking forward to "Heart of the Swarm?"
