Smugglers Attempt to Drive Over 14-Foot U.S.-Mexico Border Fence

Guess what happened?

None

Assumed drug smugglers foolishly attempted to drive their vehicle over a 14-foot-tall border fence in this week. When the Jeep got caught on the fence (because what else would happen?), they were forced to flee. Agents monitoring the U.S.-Mexico border near the Imperial Sand Dunes in the southeast corner of California saw the Jeep sitting five miles west of the Colorado River and Arizona's state line.

Two smugglers conveniently on the Mexico side of the border were trying to liberate the Jeep, and fled into Mexico when agents approached. Agents say the vehicle was empty, but was most likely filled with bales of marijuana. The smugglers attempted to drive up and over the fence using ramps that they had constructed.
