A man was rifling through his medicine cabinet when he came across a pregnancy test that belonged to his ex-girlfriend. With nothing else to do, he decided to urinate on the test. Then, it came back positive. After he told his friend about it, the friend decided to upload an account of the ordeal to Reddit. As it turns out, that move ended up saving his friend's life.
Pregnancy tests pick up on beta human chorionic gonadotropin, which signals both pregnancy and testicular cancer in some cases. Other Reddit users told the man to visit a doctor immediately. The man set up an appointment, and he did have a tiny tumor growing in one of his testicles.
The man will likely lose that testicle, but will also probably survive. Right now, he should thank his friend and his sense of humor.
