For whatever reason, a naked man climbed to the top of an equestrian statue in London's Whitehall government district on Friday. He made good  use of his time while up there, assuming several poses before frustrated police finally talked him down—three hours later. Police say that the man, who's believed to be in his 30s or 40s, initially climbed the statue of the 19th-century duke of Cambridge at about noon.

Police and emergency services blocked off the area, and the man elected to come down after his naked fun was over. According to Scotland Yard, the man was detained under Britain's Mental Health Act. Nobody likes dealing with uncooperative naked people.
