No, that's not Jony Ive describing the latest Apple product, it's Marko Ahtisaari, Nokia's own pale, cue-ball-headed design guru waxing rhapsodic about the Lumia 920. And while some of his lyrical comments toy with the absurd (particularly the bit about how the shiny, yellow, polycarbonate phone in his hand "could've grown out of nature or come out of a tree."), Ahtisaari deserves credit for creating, in the Lumia, one of the most iconic and distinctive smartphone designs since the iPhone's introduction in 2007.

Thankfully, the consumer electronics world is big enough for the both men (and their egos).
