When it comes to extending the life of your smartphone's battery, there are very few options better than Mophie's line of Juice Pack cases. The only problem was that they were only available for the iPhone. That changes today as the Californian company officially released a Juice Pack for Samsung's Galaxy S III.

The move shouldn't be too surprising. Besides the iPhone, the Galaxy S III is the best-selling smartphone. Though people associate the company closely with Apple, Mophie's vice president of marketing, Ross Howe, wants people to think of power when they think of Mophie.

“Mophie has become synonymous with device power, and we are motivated to engineer new battery solutions for both the Apple and Android communities,” said Howe. “We’re excited to empower Galaxy S III users to do more with their device without having to worry about running out of battery or having to take a time-out to recharge at a wall outlet.”

The Galaxy S III Juice Pack will pack a 2300 mAh battery, bigger than the ones available for the iPhone. It'll also offer a "pass-through USB cord that allows users to charge and sync without removing their mobile device from the juice pack case." Similar to the iPhone Juice Packs, the G SII's version is designed to compliment the device and doesn't look like it'll add much bulk.

The Mophie Juice Pack for the Samsung Galaxy S III is available now for $99.95 from mophie.com.
