After weeks of rumor and speculation, Michael Bay has finally confirmed that Mark Wahlberg will appear in Transformers 4 in a statement on the director’s official website. The site doesn’t elaborate on how big his role will be, but if you land an actor like Wahlberg, it’s almost a guarantee that it’ll be a lead part.

“Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on Pain and Gain and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy,” said Bay in a press release on his site.

It has already been confirmed that this Transformers movie will feature a brand new cast of both human and robot characters, so you can expect even more new actors to sign on over the next few months. Bay’s site also revealed the official logo for the movie, which you can check out below:

Transformers 4 will hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
