Kapture is a new iOS app developed by Fueled in NYC that rewards users for sharing photos of recent product purchases on Facebook on Twitter.
With Kapture, everyone wins. Brands now have an easier, simpler way to connect and advertise to customers, and consumers now receive an additional benefit for displaying their favorite products.
Michael Szewczyk, founder of Kapture, discussed with Venture Beat how he came up the app:
"Anytime consumption is occurring, it can be a Kapture moment.”
To avoid dishonest users and cheating, Szewczky has developed numerous policies to ensure only quality photos are uploaded with the app. Geofencing is used to ensure the user is actually where they say they are. Szeweczky also added that the company looks "at every photo before they go up.”
Currently, Kapture only has partnerships with companies in Manhattan but bigger deals are already in the works and should be announced in the upcoming months.
