Jon Favreau's "Jersey Boys" Adaptation Has Been Canned At Warner Bros.

It might survive somewhere else, though.

None

It looks like Jon Favreau’s big screen version of the successful Broadway musical, Jersey Boys, hit a roadblock, as Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. has decided to stop production on the film and that the project is now in a turnaround. This report claims that the studio "was never high on the project which, given its subject matter, may have limited appeal to international [audiences]."

Despite the bad news, Favreau is still attached to direct the movie, which has a script by John Logan. The good news is that the site is also reporting that Paramount Pictures is holding a meeting tomorrow with Graham King of GK Films, the movie’s production company, about the possibility of the adaptation landing at that studio. We’ll keep you updated as details become available.
