It should come as a surprise to no one when we say that J.J. Abrams is working on a new project - but it may possibly come as a surprise to some that, this time, it's in animation. According to Leslie Levings, the creator of those little monster figurines The Beastlies, she's working on an "animated Beastlies thing" with Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot. There isn't much more info on the project other than that yet, as it's clearly still in the preliminary stages.

This project would, of course, be in addition to his being an executive producer and/or director on six other projects - including the upcoming Star Trek sequel which is obviously going to take up a lot of time since perfectly positioning all those lens flares isn't easy work.
