Jennifer Lawrence Says She Got Into a Car Crash Because of Honey Boo Boo (Video)

Understandable.

Jennifer Lawrence recently explained that she doesn't mind when people hit on her at bars by quoting The Hunger Games, but it seems like someone might have more luck approaching her with a quote from TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo

During an appearance on The Tonight Show to promote her new film Silver Linings Playbook, Lawrence shed a little light onto a recent car accident she had while in Georgia to shoot The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - and, apparently, it's all 7-year-old Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Alana Thompson's fault.

"I was driving home from work, and I thought I saw Honey Boo Boo...It was a breast cancer parade, and people were wearing [sashes] that said 'boobs,' but I thought it was saying 'Boo Boo,' and so I was like, 'Whoa, does that mean Honey Boo Boo?' So I started craning my neck and I saw a little girl and I was like, 'That's Honey Boo Boo,'" she explained. "And I'm still driving, and then I rear-ended the person in front of me. I had to get out of the car and explain what happened."

Her excuse? It's a sound one: "I was like, 'I'm sorry that I hit your family. I thought I saw Honey Boo Boo.'"

Yup - homegirl is well on her way to becoming America's newest sweetheart. You can check out the interview above.
