Japanese Artist Has Converted Public Restroom Into One-Room Hotel

Amazing.

Suddenly, living in a bathroom doesn't look so bad. Japanese artist Tatzu Nishino has turned a bathroom in Osaka's Nakanoshima Park into a one-room hotel. Now dubbed the "Nakanoshima Hotel," it's part of the Osaka Canvas Project, an art event that costs 10,000 yen ($125) per night.

The room is 22-square-meters, and includes a shower, bed, and it's own bathroom. The sheer hilarity of sleeping in a bathroom with a bathroom is amazing. Also, the public restroom that surrounds the hotel is completely functional. Regardless, the room is booked through the duration of the event, mostly by dedicated Nishino fans.
