Jamie Foxx may be joining the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. According to Variety, sources are reporting that the actor is in "early talks" with Sony to portray villain Electro in the upcoming sequel to this year's wildly successful Spider-Man installment, and just today Foxx himself posted the rather mysterious tweet "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well." If you're not aware, Electro is the one who gains the ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning - science! - and he first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man issue #9 in 1964.
If cast, Foxx would be joining returning stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, along with newcomer Shailene Woodley, who's signed on to portray Mary-Jane Watson.
