When Hurricane Sandy blew through NYC earlier this month, many businesses took a massive hit. Verizon, based in Lower Manhattan, was one of those companies. Big Red experienced a massive shutdown when its facilities were completely flooded and left many without service. The Verge connected with Big Red to find out how it went about getting rid of all the storm water and getting its service back online.
