George Clooney Is In Talks To Star In Brad Bird's Alien Flick "1952"

A lot of mystery surrounds this project.

None

After the success of the latest Mission Impossible movie, director Brad Bird has slowly made a name for himself as one of Hollywood’s top talents. But instead of throwing his name into the ring for consideration on the next Star Wars or Marvel movie, he is instead getting behind the camera for a completely original project, titled 1952. Now Variety is reporting that George Clooney is in discussions with Disney about starring in the movie.

According to the site, this movie will be similar to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, where a man makes contact with extraterrestrials. The movie hasn’t been officially greenlit, but we’re sure it would be if Clooney agrees to it. After his work on The Iron Giant and The Incredibles, we can’t wait to see Bird tackle some big-budget science fiction once again.
