Good news for newcomer series Elementary: Deadline is reporting that CBS has scheduled it to air in the coveted post-Super Bowl timeslot when the event airs on the network this coming February. As shows that air after the game generally tend to get a massive amount of viewers, this is big for the series, which only just premiered in late September - normally, shows aren't considered to be placed in that timeslot until their second season.

Elementary is a reboot of the classic Sherlock Holmes story that sees the famed detective, portrayed by Jonny Lee Miller, as a recovering addict living in New York and consulting for the NYPD, alongside his sober living coach Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). The series, though not a breakout hit, has seen solid ratings since its premiere, and was recently given a full first season order by CBS.
