Diablo Cody is returning to television. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Juno screenwriter has sold a new romantic comedy series for ABC, titled Alex + Amy. It's a single camera comedy that's apparently set to follow a "a millennial guy and a Gen X woman" who are in love, and who will probably have lots and lots of abnormally witty banter and possibly a hamburger phone.
This will be the second series from Cody, who previously created The United States of Tara, which starred Toni Collette on Showtime. Despite numerous Emmy wins, the series was axed after three seasons in 2011.
