Cazzette Becomes First Band to Release Spotify-Only Album

Good or bad?

None

Is Spotify the future of music releases? Cazzette would sure like to think so. On November 13th, the duo released the first of their three-part album titled, "Eject," exclusively on the music streaming site. With the second slated for a December 11th release and the final one scheduled to drop on January 22nd, the Swedish band is breaking new ground by not having their latest work available via purchase or even download.

Given its limitations with reaching the masses quite like an iTunes or even a music blog, is a Spotify-only album release for a fairly fresh-on-the-scene band an effective approach?
