The production behind X-Men: Days of Future Past has been chaotic to say the least up until this point, but newly-appointed director Bryan Singer just broke a bit of good news on his official Twitter account regarding the costumes that Marvel’s merry band of mutants will be sporting in this highly-anticipated sequel. Check it out below:

For those of you wondering...no leather suits. #xmen

Those leather suits from the first three X-Men movies were always a source of debate amongst fans. Some saw them as realistic and functional, while others thought they were dull and lifeless. But now big screen superhero costumes have evolved to the point that perhaps Singer can go for a more faithful comic book look this time around. It might sound a bit cheesy, but we think it's time to finally see the team’s classic blue and yellow duds hit the silver screen.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit theaters on July 18, 2014.
