Benjamin Walker is headed to HBO. According to Vulture, the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter star is attached to portray the lead in the premium cable network's upcoming drama The Missionary, which is set during the Cold War in Berlin. As you might remember, Aaron Paul was previously in talks for this role last summer, but it looks like negotiations fell through.
The series, which was written by Love and Other Drugs scribe Charles Randolph, follows an American missionary living in 1960s Berlin who becomes a CIA operative. It will be produced by Mark Wahlberg, Malcolm Gladwell, and Boardwalk Empire's Stephen Levinson.
