Ubisoft's Motion Pictures division has yet to let us down, and our guess is they're not going to start with the Assassin's Creed movie.

Ubisoft Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Geoffroy Sardin reportedly told Games Industry International that the company intends to have the Assassin's Creed adaptation in theatres by the end of 2013.

“Another thing that is very important for the lifecycle is the transmedia offer,” he said. “All the figurines, the books, the publishing, and we have a movie in the next coming year.”

As Digital Trends points out, that's pretty freaking ambitious considering we know nothing of the movie's director, producer, or other cast members besides Fassbender.
