Apple's iTunes 11 is here! The completely-redesigned music library boasts a variety of new features for overall enhanced listening and user interaction. New elements include: Playback syncing via iCloud, an improved search function, a more streamlined integration with the iTunes Store and iCloud, an “Up Next" feature that displays upcoming songs, and an iOS-inspired user interface.
But as AllThingsD reports, there are a few kinks not yet worked out.
Social integration in the iTunes Store remains the same as it was in iTunes 10. In other words, if you’re looking for the social experience that Ping was intended to provide, you won’t find it in iTunes 11. You can only tell people what music you’re interested in on the iTunes Store, you can’t tell them what you’re listening to at the moment.
Overall, this seems like a smart move from the tech giant, especially considering all the bad press they've received in recent months.
