Half of New York City may still be reeling from the damage caused by Hurricane (Superstorm?) Sandy, but that didn't stop New Yorkers from lining up to buy the new iPad Mini.
According to the Wall Street Journal, hundreds of people lined up outside of Apple's Fifth Avenue store to buy the company's newest tablet which went on sale this morning. The line wasn't as long as the one for the iPhone 5, but considering about a third of Manhattan is without power and public transportation is severely limited, it's a surprising turn out.
Sandy did affect Apple in one way: Instead of selling the iPad Mini at 8 AM as it does with most new releases, Apple opened its doors at 10 AM.
