Planes are for wusses.

Jonathan Trappe, 38, is no stranger to traveling by cluster-ballooning; in 2010, he flew 22 miles across the English Channel to Belgium sitting in a chair strapped to 54 helium balloons. Next summer, he wants to up the ante and traverse the Atlantic Ocean, a distance of roughly 2500 miles, requiring a lifeboat tied to 365 helium balloons.

The Disney-esque adventure is no joke, though—not only has it never been done before, but five other people have died attempting to accomplish the feat. He has already spent about $170,000 on various costs, and is looking to raise another $300,000 in order to fund the expenses for the attempt.
