Cheater: Eddie Fisher & Richard Burton
Date Of Affair: 1958 / 1961

All due respect to Ms. Elizabeth Taylor, who passed away in 2011, but that was one lady who didn't give a damn about what people thought about her private life. That she did it in such a white-washed era is, even if you don't want to admit it, ballsy.

Leave it to Liz to follow one major scandal with another. The first happened in 1958. G-Rated crooner Eddie Fisher was married to media darling (and mom to the original Princess Leia) Debbie Reynolds. The squeaky clean entertainers were good friends with Elizabeth and her third husband, film producer Michael Todd, so much so the Fishers were even best man and bridesmaid at their pals' wedding. But then Todd died suddenly in a plane crash and Fisher tried to console the widowed Taylor...and, well, you see where this is going, don't you? Elizabeth and Eddie began an earth-shattering affair and eventually married.

Taylor, who in her prime was physically stunning, stunned audiences one more time when, still married to Fisher, started up an affair in 1961 with married thespian Richard Burton on the set of the hella expensive Cleopatra. The Vatican condemned the actors and Liz was subject to verbal threats from strangers on the street. But Burton proved to be Taylor's one true love even though their rocky relationship was marred by alcoholic binges and physical abuse. Recent news says that director Martin Scorsese is interested in bringing the tumultuous tale of the iconic couple to the big screen.
