Played by: Hugo Weaving
As seen in: V for Vendetta (2005)

V certainly is given to more literary flourishes than the other characters on the list. It's hard to imagine John McClane taking time out of his mission to wax philosophical and construct alliterative lists.

So it's only fitting that rather than, say, citing magic or sheer toughness when taking dozens of bullets without dying, V opts for a metaphor: "Beneath this mask, there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof." Granted, V was also protected by a metal breastplate, but that doesn't make his statement any less poetic.
