Everyone knows at least one of their kind. Those pseudo-intellectual, pretentious, annoying 20-somethings whose parents still pay their rent and cell phone bills because they're too busy working on their "art" to hold down jobs. Those kids who only smoke American Spirits because they're "natural," and who claim to be gluten-free vegans even though they still shop at American Apparel. Bring a Starbucks cup near them, and they might melt like the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz.

That's right: hipsters.

They're everywhere now, especially in pop culture. You know the type: characters who are the product of generally boring, financially stable parents, and who are overly sensitive, artificial manic-depressives trying too hard to be quirky. Go to any art house cinema and there they'll be, gazing longingly at some girl who probably has bangs or at some guy who's wearing old-school monitor headphones because ear-buds just aren't real enough. Cue the eye-rolls.

In honor of this Friday's release of The Comedy, which stars Tim Heidecker (of weird-ass Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! fame) as precisely this kind of dude, here's a look at The 10 Most Annoying Hipster Characters in Movies. For the full effect, read this in an independent coffeehouse over a cup of Joe brewed with Ethiopian beans.
