Cineworld cinema employees in Nottingham say a "technical error" was responsible for a terrified theater full of children that, instead of seeing Madagascar 3 experienced the opening scenes of Paranormal Activity 4. Parent Natasha Lewis, whose eight-year-old son was in attendance, says the film opens with "the most terrifying scene in the first film: where a body shoots full pelt towards the camera."

Lewis added that roughly 25 families grabbed their screaming children and fled. She says that only about two minutes of the film was shown, but that was more than enough to scar those kids "for life." A spokesperson for Cineworld apologized to the families and gave them refunds and complimentary tickets. The families were also invited to attend a later showing of Madagascar 3 for free.
