Chicago police discovered two football fields worth of marijuana growing on the city's Southeast Side. A police helicopter spotted a patch of roughly 1,000 plants, some of which were 10 feet tall and "as big as Christmas trees." Police also stumbled upon a surveillance post where the growers where able to observe their goods. Police have told ABC Chicago that this might be the largest marijuana discovery in city's history.

Police will begin destroying the marijuana today, an arduous process that could take several days. Somewhere, potheads are crying THC tears over this.
