According to Deadline, TNT is developing a Frankenstein TV drama based on the series of novels by Dean Koontz. In these books, Frankenstein and his monster meet again in present-day New Orleans to continue their war against each other after they both thought the other was dead for 200 years. Koontz’s original series spanned the course of five novels from 2004-2011.
This new television series joins other Frankenstein projects like the upcoming feature film adaptation of I, Frankenstein and 20th Century Fox’s updated take on Mary Shelley's original novel that is currently in production. Hopefully each one can find its own voice to give to these timeless characters.
