If you tuned in to the season three premiere of The Walking Dead on AMC last night, congratulations, you are now a statistic: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the episode just about shattered ratings records for basic cable shows, including the very records that they themselves set last year with their second season finale.

The episode garnered a whopping 10.9 million viewers, making it the most-watched episode of the series as well as the biggest telecast for any drama series in basic cable history. Those numbers are up an impressive 50% from the second season premiere, which in itself broke records upon its airing last year.

If you factor in encore airings at 9 PM and midnight, viewers for the episode totaled at about 15.2 million.
