The Nexus 4 Will Have Wireless Charging

A new standard?

None

While Google's planned event to announce it today has been postponed thanks to Sandy, new details on the imminent Nexus 4 phone have leaked online. According to an instruction manual for the device that was published in Australia, the phone will feature wireless charging capabilities.

The inclusion of wireless charging is the latest evidence that the nascent technology is on its way to becoming a standard. Previously, Nokia announced that its own highly anticipated phones, the Lumia 920 and 820, will also support wireless inductive charging.

The Nexus 4 is built by LG and is said to feature a 4.7-inch HD display, 2 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera. Google hasn't yet rescheduled the phone's official announcement.
