Remember the Microsoft Surface? No, not the tablet. The touchscreen table that allowed users to pretend they were in a sci-flick? The one Microsoft decided to not release to the public? Well, a group of German engineers from the Media Computing Group decided to not only build their own, but one-up Microsoft with the BendDesk

Using two projectors, three cameras, and IR-LEDs, the group was able to design a desk with a seamless upward slope that gives the user an unprecedented amount of freedom when working. The BendDesk allows for horizontal and vertical touch interaction. We've never seen anything like it. If this is the future of desktop computing, we're in.
