With her new album, Red, expected to move over a million copies its first week in stores, very little could damper Taylor Swift's mood. Except, of course, a breakup.
The singer has reportedly ended things with Conor Kennedy.
"They quietly parted ways a while ago," says a friend. "It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine."
Perhaps their romance was more of a summer fling than anything. They'd been spotted together multiple times in July and August, but when classes started for Kennedy, who's still in high school, things quieted down exponentially.
"It's been over a month since they've even seen each other," the friend continues. "With her promotion for Red, she has no time off until the end of the year."
Sources close to the Kennedy family tell Page Six it's more scheduling and school commitments than anything else keeping them apart, and that ultimately they'll wind up back together.
“Conor has gone back to school, and the deans at Deerfield are not happy about him jetting around with Taylor," says a source. "He was due to attend an awards ceremony with her at the end of the summer, but the school chiefs put the kibosh on it. He can’t just leave school to be with her at every point.”
