Rockstar Games Announce iOS and Android Versions of "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City"

It has been 10 years since Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the sixth installment of its Grand Theft Auto series on the Playstation 2. To celebrate the classic 80's-based open world adventure, the company has announced mobile versions of the game to be released on Android and iOS devices.

The mobile versions of the game will be updated with refined graphics along with new bonus features. In a statement to Mashable, Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games discussed Vice City and its new mobile version:

"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City gave players the freedom of a massive open-world in one of the most iconic and vibrant settings ever realized in a game. It was a defining moment in the series and we’re delighted to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a stunning, updated version for phones and tablets."

Don't run to your respective mobile app outlets yet. Rockstar did not include a release date for the new mobile version of 'Vice City. The plan is for a release “later this fall.” For now check out some other mobile versions of Rockstar titles like Grand Theft Auto 3 here.
