Google Maps iOS 6 App Photos Leak

A good sign for iPhone and iPad users.

If you miss Google Maps on your iOS device, you may be in luck as a set of blurry photos of an iPhone running the native app has leaked onto the Net.

According to developer David Guild, who leaked the photos, the new Google Maps app is currently in an alpha state. Along with the photos, Guild provided a brief description of what to expect in Google Maps. Google Maps app will now be vector based with the ability to use two-finger rotation to view any angle. The new app is ready for the larger 4 inch screen of the iPhone 5 and is "super fast" according to Guild.

Unfortunately, a tentative release date for Google Maps was not provided. However, Apple has promised improvements for the numerous flaws found in Apple Maps.
