We already have an image of the stereotypical soccer mom, and now it appears that we have one for the stereotypical soccer dad as well—a complete asshole. Enraged by a referee's call at a youth soccer game at Thousand Palms Community Park in Cathedral City, CA, 38-year-old Rafael DelfinSequeda rushed the field, pushed a 9-year-old to the ground and kicked the ref in the leg. For his shameless display, Sequeda was arrested and charged with battery.
The child was taken to the hospital, most likely scarred for life; however, the official was not seriously injured despite the kick to the leg. Go to any sports contest, even if it's youth athletics, and you're guaranteed to find that one guy who embarrasses himself by doing too much.
Sequeda's arrest is more karma than comedy.
