43-year-old Debra Johnson took out her frustration on a vending machine that ate her money. Johnson was at a Piggly Wiggly in New Bern, NC last week when a 7-Up machine took her money, so she lit it up. Firefighters responded to a blaze in front of the building, and investigators figured out that a vending machine had been set ablaze. After checking the surveillance footage, they saw a woman identified as Johnson kicking the machine. Police say that she set the fire by lighting a newspaper and sticking it inside of the machine. Refusing to walk away empty-handed, she got a drink from another machine and walked away.

Everything inside of the machine was melted, including $35 worth of change. Johnson chose to represent herself in court because, as she boldly exclaimed, she was guilty. She's being held on $10,000 bail and will be in court again next week.
