Because America just loves adapting foreign shows for US television, here's another for everyone! According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC is in the process of adapting the critically-acclaimed Australian miniseries, The Slap, with Brothers & Sisters creator Jon Robin Baitz set to pen the script.

The original series ran on Australian channel ABC1, and followed the events after a man slaps a child that is not related to him at a family gathering. There were eight episodes in total, each focusing on the story from a different character's point of view. The show was based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Christos Tsiolkas.

NBC's adaptation is expected to be an eight-episode limited series as well.
