In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, MTA has cancelled all subway and rail work this evening. New York commuters should plan to wrap all of their travels up by 7 p.m. this evening, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo says he has directed MTA to execute its "Hurricane Plan." “New Yorkers need to take action now to protect themselves, and as the transportation system prepares to possibly suspend service, no one should wait until the last minute to prepare" Cuomo said.
