Microsoft Pulling Twitter and Facebook Apps From XBox Marketplace

Dumb move.

None

In a move that will only make sense to Microsoft, the applications for Facebook and Twitter have been removed from the apps marketplace on the XBox console. While the change will only leave customers scratching their heads, the removal is meant to force users to access to the social media sites by going through Internet Explorer 9, which will allow the browser to claim a larger percentage in the console browsing market.

In the end, will Microsoft's efforts to force people to use Internet Explorer 9 only help or hurt them?
