The official countdown for Windows 8 has begun. The first TV advertisement for the Microsoft's new operating system recently made its debut on The Windows Blog.
In contrast to Facebook's first ad, Microsoft's commercial is a lot more fun and lighthearted. The 30-second spot starts with a space shuttle countdown, strategically stopping and repeating 'eight' throughout the ad. Between the eight's blaring in the commercial, Microsoft shows off the new design of the operating system on various devices, such as laptops, desktops, and tablets. According to The Wall Street Journal "this is only the beginning of lots of big advertising push by Microsoft surrounding Windows 8."
