This morning, 21-year-old Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis was arrested by the FBI and the NYPD outside of the Federal Reserve in New York after parking a van he believed to be full of explosives on Liberty Street, near the Reserve. Allegedly he had intended to detonate the contents of the van with a cell phone.

The FBI and the NYPD had been monitoring this plot, and insist that there was no real danger posed to New Yorkers because of this.

The suspect has been described as a Bangladeshi national who came to the U.S. on a student visa. He has been living in Jamaica, Queens.

More on this as it develops.
