Man Hangs Romney Banner from Sears Tower in Chicago

Flags of our fathers? Nah.

Last week, 74-year-old John Rukavina and his nephew attached a new antenna to the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago. As it turns out, they left a couple of presents behind: an American flag and a Mitt Romney banner. Rukavina told Sun-Times reporter Michael Sneed that the flag belonged to his sister and was the burial flag of her World War ll veteran husband. He failed to mention the Romney banner, but said he would leap from a building to get Romney elected.

Feeling like he had made his point, Rukavina took the flag and banner down shortly after. He said it's his job to ensure that nobody gets hurt, and the wind could've ripped them loose.
