While you can take panoramic images with your iOS 6-equipped iPhone 5, you can't do the same with video. That will soon change with the release of the Kogeto Dot for iPhone 5.
Kogeto today announced the iPhone 5 version of its popular panoramic video lens that lets you shoot full 360-degree videos, called "dotspots," and share 'em on Twitter, Facebook, or Kotego.
The company says the new version will be available mid-to-late October for $49.99.
If you bought a Dot for your iPhone 4 or 4S, Kogeto will cut you a deal. Send a proof a purchase to Kogeto at support@kogeto.com, and it will send you a discount code so you can cop the new one for $24.
Also, for the month of October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month), Kogeto has partnered with Boarding for Breast Cancer, a non-profit that focuses on education, prevention, and support programs for young people. Kogeto will donate 100% of the purchase of each pink Dot purchased on Kogeto.com to Boarding for Breast Cancer.
