His relatability motor may have briefly burned out in 2006, when C-SPAN cameras caught then-Senator Biden relating to an Indian-American supporter by noting that "In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India.” And, he continued, “You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking."
