Michael Straczynski has been hired to write the script for Shadowman, based on the comic by Valiant Entertainment. Straczynski is well-versed in both comics and film having written stints on The Amazing Spider-Man and Thor, as well as scripts to movies like The Changeling and Ninja Assassin. This news comes just as Valiant is ready to launch a new Shadowman comic series with writer Justin Jordan and artist Patrick Zircher attached. Valiant CEO, Jason Kothari, said, “Shadowman is the first in a large slate of film projects that we are developing and funding internally at Valiant. Between Sean’s evidenced track record and Joe’s creative genius, we are very enthused about building a potential franchise here.”

There is also an adaptation of Bloodshot in the works over at Sony with Matthew Vaughn producing and Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow writing the script.
